Naomi Lena Gallant Goodish, 89, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, formerly of Pandora, died May 16, 2010, in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
She was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Pandora to Irvin and Adeline Gallant, who preceded her in death. On May 16, 1942, she married William M. Goodish, who died in November 1997.
Mrs. Goodish received her bachelor’s degree in business education in 1942 from Findlay College. She taught in Elida and then at Coldwater High School, before moving to Reno, Nevada, in 1954. She taught business courses and was an adviser for the Future Business Leaders of America at Reno High School and Earl Wooster High School, both in Nevada. She retired from teaching in 1978 and moved to Grass Valley, Calif., where she was active in the local farmers market, beekeepers association, Tommyknockers RV Group, St. Patrick Parish and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen (John) Strefeler, of North Canton; a son, Michael Goodish, of Kailua, Hawaii; and two granddaughters, Jessica and Christin Goodish.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Candace Goodish, who died in 2000.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at Kaneohe Seventh Day Adventist Church.
