Shirley Jean Goedde, 76, died at 10:40 a.m. Feb. 10, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born May 4, 1935, in Columbus Grove to Harold C. and Lorena Brunswick Routson. On Sept. 4, 1953, she married Walter Clarence Goedde Jr., who survives.

She had worked for DWG Cigar Corp., Warner and Swasey, and Westinghouse, and she was most recently the owner of S&W Rentals. She was a wonderful and incredible mother. She always made her family so proud. She will always be remembered for her huge heart and generosity to those less fortunate, always looking out for others before herself. She was the apple for her husband’s eye, which was evidenced by the many love letters and cards he had given her. Her husband, children and grandchildren will miss her tremendously as she was the rock of the family, always opening her home to family and friends in need.
