Rodger Geren
Wapakoneta
Rodger Geren, of Limington, Maine, formerly of Wapakoneta, died the morning of Sept. 28, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in 1947 to Nathan and Maurine Geren, who preceded him in death. In 1969, he married Cathy Pierce, who survives.
Mr. Geren was a 1965 graduate of Wapakoneta High School and a 1969 graduate of Defiance College. He had taught business and coached football at Cory-Rawson and Bath high schools. He continued his career in Maine.
Survivors also include two sons, Matt, of Westbrook, Maine, and Lance, of Philadelphia; a daughter, Amy, of Gorham, Maine; three brothers, Dennis (Linda) Geren, of Springfield, Mo., Gary (Raelene) Geren, of Wapakoneta, and Mike (Lori) Geren, of Duluth, Ga.; two sisters, Marilyn (Gary) Granger, of St. Marys, and Carolyn (John) Smith, of Elida; and three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
