Nicacio Garcia, 49, died at 12:36 p.m. Aug. 26, 2008, at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.
He was born Dec. 15, 1958, in LaMora, Mexico, to Elias and Consuello Sanson Garcia, who preceded him in death. In February 1979, he married Felisa Ramirez, who survives in Ottawa.
Mr. Garcia was a maintenance supervisor for Hirzel Canning Co., Ottawa, and worked at Golden Corral, Findlay. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. He loved music and spending time with his family. He enjoyed selling merchandise at the Fremont Flea Market.
Survivors also include two sons, Nicacio Garcia Jr., of Ottawa, and Jose Elias Garcia, at home; two daughters Imelda Garcia and Claudia Garcia, both at home; five grandchildren, Samiyah Garcia, Alazae Greve, Aaliyah Garcia, Rhianna Moreno and Noah Moreno; and 11 siblings, Maria Asunsion, Juan Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Jovelina Garcia, Maria Garcia, Josefina Garcia, Elias Garcia, Isidro Garcia, Maximiliano Garcia, Martin Garcia and Mario Garcia.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Father Alfons Minja and Deacon Ben Valdez will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
