Addison M. Foster Sr.

Addison M. Foster Sr., 79, formerly of Lima, died at 2:13 a.m. Dec. 23, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born May 20, 1930, in Lima to Earl Hanthorn and Aldia Hawkins Foster, who preceded him in death. On June 4, 1948, he married Betty Lou Thomas, who died Sept. 5, 1992. On March 8, 1996, he married Patsy Wolfe Binkley, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Foster retired as a supervisor from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant, after more than 30 years. He was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He was a great fisherman and one of his greatest joys was his annual Labor Day fish fry.
Survivors also include six sons, Larry Foster, of Findlay, Addison Foster Jr., of Philo, Brett Foster, of Elida, Dan (Karen) Foster, of Harrod, and Rocky (Becky) Foster and Nathan Foster, both of Lima; a stepdaughter, Joyce Dotson, of Wapakoneta; two sisters, Rhea Rolsten, of Lima, and Jolane VanBuskirk, of Elida; a brother, Stephen Foster, of Lima; and 14 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law; three brothers; a sister; a half sister; and a stepson, Robert Binkley.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, Lima. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
