Bernard L. Downey, 88, of Westmont, Ill. formerly of Lima, died Jan. 26, 2012.
He was the beloved husband of Jean Ann Downey.
Mr. Downey was the founder and president of B.L. Downey Co., of Broadview, Ill.
He was the loving father of Patrick (Donna), Calland (Angie), Dennis (Tracy), Deborah (the late John) Larkin, Daniel (Cynthia), Joseph (Marybeth), James (Diane), Timothy (Elizabeth), Thomas (Margaret), Mary Ellen (Bruce) Rippe, Gerard (Barbara) and Bridget (Mark) Sommer; and the cherished grandfather of 41.
Services will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, Downers Grove, Ill. to Ascension of Our Lord Church, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
