Ernest L. Curtis, 62, died Feb. 4, 2012, at Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton.
He was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Lima to James and Eleanor Whitzler Curtis.
Mr. Curtis retired from International Paper. He was a member of AMVETS Post 1994, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 428 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2163, all in Kenton. He was an Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a son, Kyle Lee (Robyn) Curtis, of Springfield; two daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Oliphant, of Dover, Tenn., and Erin (Patrick) Collins, of Erlanger, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Zeta Curtis, Ashley Byers, Kaelyn, Jacob, and Devan Oliphant, Nolan Collins, and Austin, Ashton, and McKenzie Hoel; a brother, James (Sola) Curtis, of Elida; two sisters, Linda (Forrest Edward) Jarrell, of Lima, and Anita (Garrett) Molands, of Bluffton; his friend, Rhonda Park, of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Marvin, Larry and Clyde Curtis.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton. The Rev. Forrest Edward Jarrell, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, with military rites by AMVETS Post 1994.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to AMVETS Post 1994 Honor Guard.
