91st Birthday — Nolan Core

LIMA — Nolan Core, of Lima, is celebrating his 91st birthday, today, Jan. 22, 2012.
He was born in Columbus Grove on Jan. 22, 1921, to Glen and Edith Core. He married his wife, Mary, and they were married 50 years until she died.
Core has four sons, Kurt Zimmerman, of Toledo, Dr. Ronald Core, Ph.D., of Statesboro, Ga., Dr. Gerald Core, of Pasadena, Ca., and Dennis (Katie) Core, of Lima; and one daughter, Jane (Roger) Stokes, of Lima. He has 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He retired from Clark Equipment.
Core enjoys golfing, watching football, baseball and basketball, and was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
