Cletah Marie Garen, 70, of Leesburg, Fla., died Nov. 23, 2009.
She was born June 2, 1939, in St. Johns, Ohio. Her mother, Cameo Dudgeon, survives in Wapakoneta. Her husband of 50 years, David R. Garen, survives in Leesburg, Fla.
Mrs. Garen moved to Leesburg, Fla., from Defiance, Ohio, in 1996. She graduated from Bowling Green State University. She belonged to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a retired social worker with Defiance Hospital. She volunteered for Cornerstone Hospice in Central Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Leesburg, Fla.
Survivors also include four daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Fowler, of Huron, Darla (Ashraff) Rampersaud, of Indianapolis, Marcia Close, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., and Teresa Garen (Herberth Corrales) of Hailey, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur (Moneen) Dudgeon, of Columbus.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg , Fla. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery, Leesburg, Fla.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778-9972.
