Letter: Gun laws don't disarm the bad guys
Alas, yet another church shooting. Would it have turned out differently had some (or even one) of the congregants been armed? We'll never know.
What we do know is that, by Ohio law, most congregations in our state are unarmed. See, in Ohio, it is illegal far a church-goer to be armed, absent specific permission from their pastor or church governing body. In the military, we had a phrase for a gathering like that. We called it a target-rich environment.
Perhaps one day we'll come to the realization that bad guys pay no attention to the various laws and signs banning firearms.
