Looking for a church service to attend on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? How about on New Year's? Locally, a variety of services will be offered ranging from traditional to contemporary worship experiences. Check below to see what's going on.

Calvary Evangelical Church will host a Christmas Eve service with Holy Communion at 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at the church, 10686 Van Wert Decatur Road, Van Wert. On Christmas Day, the 9 a.m. Sunday School will be followed by a 10 a.m. morning worship.

Community United Methodist Church has a full slate of activites at its various venues. Christmas Eve services include 5 and 7 p.m. (traditional) at Bath Campus, 6:30 p.m. (family) at Shawnee Campus, and 8:30 and 11 p.m. (traditional candlelight) at Shawnee Campus. Christmas Day services include 10:30 a.m. (traditional) at Bath Campus and 11 a.m. (acoustic) at Shawnee Campus.

Cornerstone Harvest Church, 2000 N. Cole St., will have Christmas Eve services at 7 p.m., a communion service on Christmas Day at 10 a.m., and a New Year's Eve service at 10 p.m.

Lima Community Church, corner of Cole and Diller, will have Christmas services at 6 p.m. today and 9, 10:45 a.m. (the Source) and 11 a.m. (eastside venue) Sunday. Christmas Eve services are at 5, 7 (at the Source) and 10 p.m. There will be no services on Christmas Day.

Lima's Catholic parishes will celebrate Christmas with several events planned. Christmas Eve Masses are at 4 p.m. Christmas Day at St. John, 6 p.m. (candlelight) and 10 p.m. (with incense) at St. Rose, and 5 p.m. (children's) and 10 p.m. (vocal choir) at St. Gerard. Christmas Day Mass is at 10 a.m. at St. John and 8:30 and 11 a.m. at St. Gerard.

Market Street Presbyterian Church will host an organ concert by Marilyn Frueh at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at the church, 1100 W. Market St., Lima. That concert will be followed by the 9 p.m. Christmas Eve service with Holy Communion. On Christmas day, the 11 a.m. worship service, led by Dennis Kratzer and Troy Reineke, will be “The Nativity of Jesus Christ.”

At South Side Christian Church, a candlelight Christmas Eve service will be offered at 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 24. On Christmas, the worship service will begin at 10 a.m. There will be no Sunday School on Christmas morning. The church is located at 3300 South Side Drive, Lima.

Trinity United Methodist Church will offer a family Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. on Dec. 24, and a traditional Christmas Eve service at 11 p.m. that day. Prelude music will begin 15 minutes prior to each service. On Christmas day, a chapel service will begin at 8:30 a.m., and worship at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 301 W. Market St., Lima.

At Zion Lutheran Church in Lima, Christmas Eve will be celebrated at the 5 p.m. contemporary service on Dec. 24, also at the 7 p.m. blended service and the 11 p.m. traditional service. On Christmas day, a service of lessons and carols begins at 10 a.m. On New Year's Eve, the church will host a 5 p.m. contemporary service. On New Year's Day, the worship service begins at 10 a.m. The church is located at 1300 Edgewood Drive, Lima.

Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys will offer Christmas Eve services with Holy Communion at 7 and 11 p.m. Dec. 24. The church is located at 210 N. Wayne St., St. Marys.
