CELINA -- After 36 years at Wright State University, Lake Campus Dean James Sayer will retire June 30.
Saver has been dean for the past two and a half years. Before coming to the Lake Campus, he completed 18 years as chair of the Department of Communication at the Fairborn campus.
Since arriving in 2007 at the Lake Campus, Sayer has overseen the completion of the $9 million renovation and construction project, as well as brought new programs such as criminal justice, computer science and mechanical engineering to the region. Enrollment increased 61percent during his tenure.
A committee has been formed and a national search will soon begin to find Sayer’s replacement.
