Elida
Christian Allen Budd, 28, of Spring Valley, Calif., formerly of Elida, died unexpectedly Jan. 29, 2012, in California.
He was born Feb. 5, 1983, in Ashland to Steven Budd and Nancy Provance. His father survives in Warren. His mother and stepfather, Terry Provance, survive in Spring Valley, Calif. On Sept. 6, 2007, in Columbus, he married Jessica Davis, who survives.
Mr. Budd was a 2001 graduate of Elida High School and Apollo Career Center. He was a certified EMT and had worked at Ruscilli Construction, Columbus, and Gehring & Burtchin Contractors, Lima. He spent the last two years as a stay-at-home dad to son, Phelan. He was a two-time cancer survivor, who was fun-loving, outgoing, energetic and lived life to the fullest. He received assistance from the Livestrong Foundation.
Survivors also include two sons, Phelan Budd, of New Albany, and Garrett Bennett, of Columbus; a brother, Adam Provance, of Spring Valley, Calif.; a stepsister, Lisa McFalls, of Winder, Ga.; his grandmother, Anne Budd, of Ashland; special aunt, with whom he lived while in high school, Susan (Michael) Klaus, of Elida; his three cousins, Gavin, Robin and Ian Klaus, all of Elida; an uncle, Roger Drake, of Georgia; father-in-law, William S. Davis, of New Albany; mother-in-law, Doreen Davis, of Reynoldsburg; and a brother-in-law, William R. Davis, of New Albany.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Feb. 25 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Ashland. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
