Joan L. Bish, 71, died at 4:10 a.m. Dec. 9, 2009, at Harbor Side Healthcare, Defiance.
She was born April 13, 1938, in Van Wert to Jacob A. and Gertrude Denman McConnehey, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Bish retired from Phillips Display Components, Ottawa. She was a member of North Mount Zion Church, Continental.
Survivors include a son, Al Bish Jr., of Continental; two daughters, Joyce (William) Shellenbarger, of Defiance, and Iva “Doll” Bish, of Continental; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kathy Bish; a sister, Dorothy Bair; and a brother, Richard Gall.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental. Pastor Brent Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
