New Bavaria
Edith Catherine Wagner, 86, died Oct. 22, 2009 in her home.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in New Bavaria to John and Eugenie Okuley Seifert. On July 9, 1941, she married Urban Wagner, who died July 25, 1982.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, the Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Ron (Karen) Wanger, of Continental, Larry (Judy) Wagner, of Defiance, Gary (Cindi) Wagner, of Marblehead; a daughter, Janet (Dennis) Hohenbrink, of Leipsic; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Seifert, of rural Defiance; and a sister, Rita Shiarla, of New Bavaria.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Luella Conkright and Stella Watson; and a brother, Leonard Seifert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria. Father Stephen Stanbery will officiate.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Zachrich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Holgate, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
