Nancy Irene Barns, 65, died Oct. 4, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Allen County to Roger and Clystie Brackney Williams, who preceded her in death. She was raised by her great-uncle and -aunt, Emery and Otti Chiles, who also preceded her in death. On Oct. 4, 1963, at the New Hampshire Methodist Church, New Hampshire, Ohio, she married Leroy K. Barns, who survives.
Mrs. Barns was a homemaker. She was a member of Belle Center Church of Christ. She was devoted to her family and grandchildren.
Survivors also include three sons, twins, Keith (Karen) Barns, of Belle Center, and Kevin (Jodie) Barns, of Waynesfield, and Dale (Christie) Barns, of West Liberty; two grandsons and five granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a stepsister, Shirley Matthews.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Belle Center. Pastor David C. Hawthorne will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
