Ronna Kay Arthur, 60, died at 5:45 a.m. Oct. 26, 2008, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.

She was born May 14, 1948, in Portsmouth to George P. and Carol C. Deweese Arthur, who preceded her in death.

Miss Arthur had worked at Marimor Industries. She participated in the Special Olympics and received a medal for swimming. Her father had been president of City Loan & Savings Co. She loved being with her large family. She enjoyed occasions that were celebrated with her family. Through her special needs, she helped define her family as one of closeness, warmth and care. She was blessed with special care from some wonderful and devoted caregivers, including Sherry Taylor and Karen McCobb, both of Lima. She will be missed by her good friend of several years, Melody Hoon. Her parents and grandparents all helped and loved her in so many ways.

Survivors include a brother, George "Bud" (Candi) Arthur Jr., of Boca Raton, Fla.; three sisters, Vicki (John) Kreuchauf, of Temperance, Mich., and Brenda L. (Stephen) Snyder and Valorie L. (Thomas) Kuhn, both of Lima; and six nephews and nieces, Benjamin (Alicia) Kehres, of Lima, John M. (Cheri) Kreuchauf, of Lambertville, Mich., Melissa (Thom) Bristol, of South Carolina, Jason Arthur, of Boca Raton, Fla., Whitney Arthur, of South Carolina, and Ashlee Kuhn, of Lima.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marimor Industries, 2450 Ada Road, Lima, OH 45801.

The family would like to offer love and prayers to Katie Thompson, who watched over her well being for several years, while displaying at all times great care, respect and compassion. The family would also like to thank all the people at Tiffin Developmental Center who worked with her through the years while she was there, providing her the confidence and support to go out and live and work in the Lima community.
