Patricia Ann O'Keefe Wheeler

Patricia Ann O’Keefe Wheeler, 68, of Defiance, formerly of Lima, died Dec. 20, 2009, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 28, 1941, in Lima to Eugene and Mildred Siebeneck O’Keefe, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 26, 1959, she married Ronald Wheeler, who survives.

Mrs. Wheeler had been an office manager at Hubbard Co. for more than 30 years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. She was a 1959 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. She enjoyed car shows, NASCAR DHS sports, traveling, gambling, shopping, granddogs and being with her granddaughters.

Survivors also include a daughter, Rhonda (Jason) Shaffer, of Defiance; a son, Ronald (Brenda) Wheeler, of Defiance; two granddaughters, Jaylynn and Jessica Shaffer; a sister, Ruth (Ray) Carroll, of Elida; and three brothers, Dan O’Keefe, John (Marcia) O’Keefe and Robert (Sherri) O’Keefe, all of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William O’Keefe; a sister, Carol O’Keefe; and a grandson, Joshua Shaffer.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
