Albert Walter Allenbach

Albert Walter Allenbach, 82, died at 5:50 p.m. Jan. 25, 2012, at Wyngate Senior Living Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Holmes County to Christian and Marie Mishler Allenbach, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 14, 1953, he married Dorothy J. Urwin, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Allenbach was an Army veteran serving in Korea. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was an avid supporter of all activities involving his grandchildren and great-grandson. He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
Survivors also include five children, Chris (Jean) Allenbach, of Lima, Linda (Thomas) Wilkerson, of Sagamore Hills, Debora (James) Gray, of Navarre, Keith (Karen) Allenbach, of Gahanna, and Brian Allenbach, of Lima; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Allenbach, Brett Allenbach, Jamie Gray, Benjamin (Erica) Gray, Emily Allenbach, Katelin Allenbach, Karissa Allenbach, Megan Allenbach, Bridgette Allenbach and Alexa Allenbach; a great-grandson, Akyus Richardson; and two sisters, Margaret Fowler, of Massillon, and Marie Bair, of Wilmot.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ecenbarger.
Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Father Steve Blum will officiate.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice or the charity of the donor's favorite.
