Non-frosted: Second place ? Citrus Crackle Cookie

From Elaine Fisher, Wapakoneta3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened1 1/4 cups sugar1 tablespoon finely grated citrus zest (lemon, orange, lime)2 large egg yolks, room temperature3/4 teaspoon lemon extract1/4 teaspoon orange extract2 cups flour1/4 teaspoons baking soda1/4 teaspoons saltBeat butter until smooth. Add sugar and zest and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Add the yolks, one a time, beating well after each addition. Add extracts and beat until well blended. Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, making a soft dough.Drop onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Freeze at least 30 minutes. Bake cookies straight from the freezer at 375 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer to rack to cool.
