Work together to clean up city
Comments 0 | Recommend 0We all know drugs mean death. But can you tell me how this is honestly working? Because, from my point of view, it seems not to be helping. I am tired of picking up our newspaper and seeing more deaths being reported.
If the marches are working, then why our innocent people are getting killed? The latest shooting was close to my house. Why can't the city of Lima just get along? Let the officials to do their job, which from this writer's view, is not being done. How many shootings will there be before it gets solved?
To cure the drug problem, I think the schools ought to ask for volunteers and have school dances like they used to go to when I attended South Junior High. With all these abandoned buildings, can't we take donations to build a place where our teens can go? Teach them good things to do with their lives instead of listening to their friends. Back in the 1980s, we had drug campaigns that told kids not to use drugs. I see the truth ads but somehow it's not getting through to our young people.
And to the youth who get the good grades and do outside school activities, good for you. Now, could the rest of you get a bandwagon and help put the drug dealers in jail where they belong? And let's all just get along. Killing each other is not the way to go.
Everyone should find a way to help so we can clean up the streets of Lima.
