Predicted order of finish in the Northwest Conference:





1.†††† ADA: Mitchell Faine throws, Heath Jackson catches, Ada scores lots of points. Faine passed for 3,846 yards last season. Jackson accounted for 1,068 of those yards with his catches.





2.†††† LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC: Thirteen starters return from a 5-5 team that lost four games by a touchdown or less. Quarterback Tyler OíConnor threw for 1,366 yards as a freshman. Desi Kirkman is a two-way threat as a receiver and cornerback. Jacob Rigali is a four-year starter at linebacker.





3.†† † COLUMBUS GROVE: The Bulldogs are young, with only seven seniors on the roster. But running backs Rayce Risser (576 yards), Jacob Miller (545 yards), Devin Verhoff (377 yards) and sophomore quarterback Jordan Travis all return from last yearís 4-6 team.





4.†† † DELPHOS JEFFERSON: Jefferson finished 9-2 last season with a senior-dominated team. But† help could be on the way. The JV team had a 7-1 record and the freshmen were 8-0.





5.†† SPENCERVILLE: Defensive lineman Tyler Obringer, who has given a verbal commitment to Ball State, leads the Bearcats.





6.†† BLUFFTON: The Pirates are traveling light this year with only six players on the roster heavier than 200 pounds. Linebacker Tyler Rayl was honorable mention All-Northwest Conference last season.





7.†† PAULDING: The Panthers have 10 starters back from last seasonís 6-4 turnaround team, but the losses to graduation were heavy. Four returning offensive linemen provide a good foundation.





8.†† ALLEN EAST: The Mustangs hope experience counts for something. They started seven sophomores during a 2-8 season last year.





9.†††††††† CRESTVIEW: The Knights are trying to bounce back from a winless 2008.
