• June 15 at 3:40 p.m.: A woman was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for evaluation. She had stopped taking medication for a mental condition and reportedly refused to leave a room at Motel 6 on Rt. 58.

• June 24 at 9:46 a.m.: Jonathan Lukachko, 19, of Amherst, was charged with criminal trespass and obstructing official business. He was arrested in an attic on Linn Road where he was found hiding. Police said they believe Lukachko is the suspicious man spotted in the yard of a Weaver Drive home, dropping clothing items.

• June 29 at 7:50 p.m.: An employee at Drug Mart on Rt. 58 reported that $50 was stolen from her wallet.

• July 2 at 8:40 a.m.: Police were called to ensure a terminated employee left the Amherst Party Shop on South Main Street. There were no charges, but the employee was accused of thefts at the store. Owners told police the man and his girlfriend were caught stealing on surveillance video.

• July 3 at 8:56 p.m.: A man called police after the mother of his children allegedly showed up at his Cleveland Avenue residence intoxicated and tried to take their four-year-old and two-month old girls.

• July 4 at 8:22 a.m.: Police were dispatched to check the welfare of two children in a room at Motel 6 on Rt. 58. A woman there, Tammy Mason, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant. The children’s parents had already both been arrested, according to police. Children’s Services was called to assist.

• July 4 at 11:45 a.m.: A man said his ex-fiance punched him in the face. Due to conflicting stories, a report was turned over to the prosecutor for a recommendation on possible charges.

• July 4 at 7:36 p.m.: A woman who said she wanted to commit suicide was found at the Church Street railroad overpass. She told police she climbed onto the tracks to attempt to scare her ex-boyfriend into having feelings for her again, and that she did not intend to kill herself.

• July 6 at 4:16 p.m.: Officers checked the welfare of a West Street man who told his pastor he had thoughts of harming his wife. The man told police he did not plan to hurt his wife and he was attempting to find another place to stay.
