LIMA - Now in its sixth year, The United Way of Greater Lima’s “Extreme Community Makeover” kicked off Tuesday at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store.

Volunteer teams from area companies were paired up with local non-profit organizations in need of facility updates. Participating organizations include Husky Energy, Potash Corp., Procter & Gamble, St. Rita’s Medical Center, Smith Boughan, Teamsters Local 908, Carpenters Union Local 372, and UAW Local 1219/Ford Motor.

Agency participants are The Arc, Camp Robin Rogers, Crime Victim Services, Crossroads Crisis Center, Northwest Ohio Literacy Council, American Red Cross and Lima UMADAOP.
