ONU tops Heidelberg in men’s tennis

ADA — The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team opened up Ohio Athletic Conference competition with a 9-0 win over Heidelberg on Saturday afternoon at the University Courts.

The Polar Bears improved their record to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in OAC play, while the Student Princes dropped to 5-4, 0-1.

ONU wins two

ADA — Sophomore Ben Glischinski took a no-hitter into the seventh inning to lead the Ohio Northern baseball team to a double header sweep of Wilmington in its OAC opener on Saturday afternoon at Wander Field.

The Polar Bears (10-3) have now won six in a row.

Bluffton swept

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - A game one loss in 13 innings clinched the series for Rose-Hulman and the Engineers capped the weekend sweep with a 7-5 victory over the Beavers. Bluffton slipped to 7-7 overall and 0-3 in the Heartland Conference, while RHIT improved to 8-4 and 3-0 in HCAC play.

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern softball team opened the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of its schedule with a doubleheader split at Heidelberg Saturday afternoon at Huffman Field.

The Polar Bears (8-8 overall, 1-1 OAC) won the opener 5-1, while the Student Princes (9-3, 1-1) won the nightcap 18-6.
