VAUGHNSVILLE - The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated a fuel spill at about 8 a.m. Thursday morning that shut down traffic on state Route 115.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported at about 8 a.m. that state Route 155 north of town was closed due to a non-injury accident involving a fuel spill. They reported crews were cleaning the area up and to stay away from the area.

A post on the Putnam County Sheriff’s Facebook page at about 7:30 p.m. said the area was cleaned up and open for traffic.

A deputy at the sheriff’s office reported that the OSHP was the investigating agency and forwarded other questions there. A dispatcher at the OSHP said no further information was available.
