LIMA - A house fire kept the Lima Fire Department busy for two hours Thursday evening.

Firefighters responded to 826 Michael Ave. at 6:07 p.m. in response to reports of a fire at the residence. All five occupants of the house were outside the building when crews arrived. The fire was contained to the family room and kitchen with some extension to the second floor. Firefighters were at the scene until 8:14 p.m. No one was injured during the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, but no arson is currently suspected. No damage estimate has yet been determined, but the house, while not currently habitable, is not a total loss.
