The Putnam County Council on Aging, a Partner Agency of the Putnam County United Way, will be hosting a silent auction fundraiser and gift certificate raffle during the Ottawa-Glandorf Jaycee’s Rhythm and Rib Festival. The Fundraiser will take place at the Putnam County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be over 100 items to auction off. According to Director Jodi Warnecke, “there is something for everyone”. Director Warnecke stated, “we have a wide array of items that will appeal to people of all ages and all areas of interests”. Below is a listing of some of the auction items:
• OSU / Coors Light Neon Beer Sign and Mirror
• Wooden OSU Rocking Chair
• OSU and Miller Lite Golf Bags
• OG Titans and Leipsic Vikings Autographed Basketballs
• Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
• OSU Pictures
• Fitness Memberships
• Pie a Month for 1 Year
• Reds Tickets and Indians Tickets
• Michigan Wolverine Sunglasses
• Circular Saw
• Golf Certificates
• Hotel Stays
• Event Passes (zoo, museum, waterpark, etc.)
• And much, much more.
According to Director Warnecke, the silent auction is the Council’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The money raised will be used to support transportation, chore and outreach services to Putnam County senior citizens, age 60 and better. The mission of the agency is to provide services that will enable senior citizens to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. All services are free and offered regardless of income level. According to Mrs. Warnecke, “it takes many people in the community pulling together to make a fundraiser a success and Putnam County is fortunate to have so many giving people”. Everyone at the Council on Aging is thankful for the generous donations as well as appreciative to the Ottawa-Glandorf Jaycees for allowing the agency to be part of the Rib Festival.
Come out and support the Council on Aging and the Ottawa-Glandorf Jaycees at the Rhythm and Rib Festival on July 20, 2013. There is something for everyone!
