Woman drives wrong way on U.S. 30 in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY - An Ada woman was cited for driving the wrong way on U.S. Interstate 30 on Thursday night.

Around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office began receiving numerous 911 calls about the driver, Peggy Gibson, who was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes on U.S. 30, near U.S. 68. By the time deputies had reached her, she had turned off the interstate and was driving south on county Road 12.

Gibson was cited for driving while intoxicated. No injuries were reported in the incident.
