LIMA — The city has a tentative agreement with a police union for a three-year contract.

Council learned of the agreement Monday with Fraternal Order of Police Park Rangers and will see legislation for the contract at a future meeting.

The new agreement includes a 2 percent wage increase in each of the three years of the contract, as well as increased employees’ health benefit contributions, from 4.5 percent at the beginning of the contract to 11 percent in 2015. The insurance deductible also increased.

Employees also received a one-time $500 signing payment this year.
