CONVOY — Crestview scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to put Fort Jennings away 10-0 in the Division IV sectional final baseball game at Crestview on Thursday. The Knights (15-5) advance to play Minster at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Coldwater in the district semifinals.

Damian Helm pitched a two-hit shutout, walking none and striking out five. Helm also tripled and had an RBI for the Knights, Jake Harmon singled and had two RBIs and Isaiah Simerman doubled and had an RBI. Fort Jennings finishes the season 7-16.

Regular Season

Columbus Grove 3, Spencerville 0

SPENCERVILLE — Riley Brubaker pitched a no-hitter, struck out four and walked five as Grove beat Spencerville in the Northwest Conference game.

Trey Roney singled and doubled for Grove (17-6). Joel Shimp took the loss, walking four, striking out three and gave up seven hits.

Elida 8, Lima Senior 1

LIMA — Elida smacked 14 hits and gave up just two in winning the sixth annual Harmon-Williams Memorial game at UNOH. Jesse Wheeler tripled for Elida. No other stats were available.

Ottawa-Glandorf 9, Van Wert 5

OTTAWA — Both teams combined for 27 hits (Van Wert 14, O-G 13) in the Western Buckeye League game. For the Titans (16-4, 5-4 WBL), Tyler Zender homered and singled twice, Tyler Hashberger doubled and singled twice, Cory Imm singled twice, Drew Schierloh homered, Cody Bockrath doubled and singled and Jaylen Von Sossan singled twice. Matt Warnecke (6-2) was the winning pitcher. For Van Wert (14-14, 4-5 WBL), Nathan Stoller and Tyler Williams each doubled, Brant Henry doubled and singled twice while Kevin Agler and Justice Tussing doubled and singled.


Sectional Final

Fairview 5, Ottawa-Glandorf 4

ARCHBOLD — Fairview scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to get past Ottawa-Glandorf in the Division III sectional final at Archbold.

Fairview (17-2) moves on to play Lima Central Catholic at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the district semifinal at Bath.

Stephanie Hempfling doubled and knocked in two runs for the Titans (14-5), while Kristen Miller had two singles.

Regular Season

Lincolnview 5, Crestview 0

CONVOY — Lincolnview knocked off Crestview to split the Northwest Conference championship three ways as the Lancers, Knights and LCC each finished the conference schedule with 7-2 records. No other stats were available from Thursday’s conference game.

On Tuesday, the Lancers beat Crestview 1-0 in the sectional tournament.

Elida 14, Lima Senior 3

LIMA — Michaela Black doubled twice as Elida won the non-league game at Lima Senior. Caitie Shroyer doubled for Elida and Amanda Daglio doubled for Lima Senior (0-21).

Shawnee 8, LCC 2

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Bekah Rader tripled and doubled to lead Shawnee past LCC in a non-league game. Hannah Taylor doubled for Shawnee (18-6) and Shelby Lucas had two singles. Kay Shick (15-6) got the pitching win. For LCC, Meredith Shepherd doubled and singled. The game was also used to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Continental 10, Pandora-Gilboa 0

CONTINENTAL — Continental clinched a share of the Putnam County League title with the win as Leva Weller pitched a one-hit shutout for the win. Weller didn’t allow a walk and struck out six.

McKenna Scott singled twice, scored twice and had two stolen bases for the Pirates (15-6, 5-0), Taylor Williamson tripled and Kiana Warnement had two singles, three RBIs and a run scored. Shea Watkins tripled for P-G.
