Sylvia L. Roth, 85, died at 5:30 a.m. May 17, 2013, at Lost Creek Care Center.
She was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Lima to William Fred and Treva Zerbe Moyer, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 8, 1947, she married Leonard “Bud” Roth, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Roth retired as branch manager from Huntington Bank and had worked at Southside Building & Loan for several years. Following her retirement, she worked at Heimann’s Fur & Sportswear clothing store. She was a life member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the choir. She was a charter member of the Iota Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority, where she had held local and national offices.
Survivors also include two sons, David (Becca) Roth, of Fairfield, and Gregg (Carol) Roth, of Lima; two daughters, Cindy (Don) Croy, of Lima, and Teri (Paul) Brunsman, of Rocky River; 11 grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Nathan, Andrea, James, Scott, Amy, Adele, Benjamin, Kimberly and Nicole; eight great-grandchildren, Brendon, Keaton, Peyton, Alexandrea, Colin, Adalyn, Jacob and Emily; and a brother, James (Betty Lou) Dean, of Findlay.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathon.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Hughes will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
