Get scrappy at Applefest Quilt Show

Letís get scrappy!

Yes itís that time of year again when our sewing machines begin to purr and creative juices bloom just like the new spring flowers. Itís time to get ready for the Applefest Quilt Show.

This yearís theme quilt is ďLetís Get Scrappy!Ē All quilts must be made out of a large variety of fabrics from your scrap bag. Fabric exchanges are not only allowed, they are encouraged. Have fun with your friends sharing a piece of your favorite print for theirs. There are no restrictions on size or pattern Ö just have fun.

And because genius minds have taken our budget and done amazing things with what money we have, the first-, second- and third-place winners will receive ribbons and cash again this year. Check entry forms at for details on amounts and rules.

And speaking of entry forms, read over the categories, for some have changed because of low or no participation in the past couple of years.

The show this year will still be held at the lovely facility made available to us by the Sidney Senior Citizens Center. Please say thank you to the volunteers who greet you at the door for they are important to our success.

The dates for this years show are Sept, 5, 6 and 7.

And if you canít find the information you are looking for on the website, contact Mary Ellen Egbert at (937) 498-1764 or (937) 726-0878; or Sharon Mohrbacher at (937) 497-1426.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in September and be sure to invite your quilting friends to join in the fun as well!
