CONVOY Crestview maintained its first-place hold on the Northwest Conference baseball standings by beating Delphos Jefferson 4-3 on Monday in 12 innings. The Knights managed a run in the bottom of the 12th for the win, slamming 14 hits in the game to Jeffersons six.
Nate Owens tripled, doubled and singled for the Knights (12-3, 8-0), Damian Helm doubled and singled and Damian Helm singled twice and got the pitching win to improve to 5-0. Zavier Buzard doubled for Jefferson (13-9) and Drew Kortokrax tripled and singled.
Clay 7, Lima Senior 6
TOLEDO The Spartans scored three runs in the top of the seventh but fell just short at Clay in a TRAC game. David Lawrence belted a three-run homer for Lima Senior, Mike Holobaugh had two singles and Justice Graham doubled for Lima Senior (1-11). Aaron Kellum (1-4) took the loss.
Wapakoneta 6, Perry 1
PERRY TOWNSHIP Chandler Kaeck and Alex Koch each had two hits each as Wapakoneta won the non-league game. Johnny Crawford, Andrew Hines and Brandon Schreiber each doubled for Wapak as pitcher A.J. Etzkorn got the win. Corey Smith and R.J. King each doubled for Perry (9-11) while Andrew Gipson was 2-for-3.
Allen East 12, Paulding 7
HARROD Max McAdoo went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two doubles as Allen East improved to 12-7 (4-4 in the NWC). Nate Robinson, Tanner Stippich and Derek Ketchum each doubled for Allen East and Casey Crow (3-1) was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts and three walks. Javier Gonzales doubled for Paulding (9-9, 3-5 NWC).
Shawnee 7, Van Wert 5
VAN WERT William Kleffner went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Shawnee in the WBL victory at Van Wert. Cody Fullenkamp was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Zach Bailey got the pitching win in five innings of work. Joey Hurless went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for Van Wert.
Ottawa-Glandorf 11, Celina 4
OTTAWA Cory Imm roped three singles as the Titans won in WBL action to improve to 10-4 (3-4 WBL). Jake Hashberger doubled for O-G and Cody Borckrath singled twice. Matt Warnecke (4-2) was the winning pitcher. Cody Vogel singled twice for Celina (12-11).
St. Marys 4, Elida 1
ELIDA Zack Wilker went 3-for-3 with a double for St. Marys (4-13, 2-6) for the WBL win. Tristan Becker tripled for the Roughriders and Codi Deaton was the winning pitcher, striking out six and walking one. Max Stambaugh doubled for Elida (3-17, 1-6).
St. Henry 8, Bath 3
ST. HENRY Garrett Stout doubled twice and Derek Rindler doubled as St. Henry raised its record to 18-4. St. Henry busted the game open with seven runs in the bottom of the sixth. Colin Gossard doubled for Bath (12-11). Jeff Paul was the winning pitcher, his record is now 5-0.
Spencerville 7, Ada 2
ADA Joel Shimp got a pitching win, striking out seven and walking none in five innings of work. Cory Kellum went 2-for-2 with a double and a single for Ada.
Lincolnview 7, Bluffton 0
BLUFFTON Pitcher Eli Farmer threw a complete game to raise his record to 4-2 while Lincolnview improved to 7-10 overall (3-4 in the NWC). Kyle Williams tripled for the Lancers and Derek Youtsey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Parkway 12, Waynesfield-Goshen 4
WAYNESFIELD Austin Adams went 3-for-5 and both Jack Roth and Jordan Strader doubled for Parkway. Cain Ponstler got the pitching win, striking out three and walking none. Gabe Hennon doubled and blashed a two-run homer for W-G (3-11).
Continental 11, Fort Jennings 1
CONTINENTAL Terry Dockery III doubled, singled, had two RBIs, scored twice and had two stolen bases as Continental won the PCL game. Zach Schwarzman singled twice, had two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases for the Pirates as pitcher Luke Sullivan got the win, allowing two hits over five innings. Kurt Warnecke tripled for Fort Jennings.
LCC 6, Columbus Grove 4
COLUMBUS GROVE LCC overcame a 4-0 deficit to win the NWC game at Grove.
Meredith Shepherd pitched a complete game, striking out seven for the win. Sydney Santaguida had two hits for the T-Birds. Bobbi Heckel also pitched a complete game, striking out five, in the loss. Katie Roose doubled for Grove and Deanna Kleman singled twice.
Elida 6, Wayne Trace 2
ELIDA Elida slugged nine hits and pitchers Aryanna Brown and Michaela Black combined for eight strikeouts, no earned runs and gave up three hits. Brown got the victory, striking out five and walking none, to move to 4-5. Sabrina Kline and Jenna Halphern each doubled and singled for Elida (10-9).
Bath 5, Defiance 1
DEFIANCE Bath scored four runs in the top of the third and Kimmy Reynolds rolled in the WBL victory. Reynolds struck out 14 and walked two to raise her record to 18-1 for Bath (21-1). Reynolds was also 2-for-4 with a double.
Paulding 6, Allen East 3
HARROD Kelsey Beck doubled and singled for Paulding, which won despite getting outhit 10-4 by Allen East. Allen East committed six errors.
Emily Farr was the winning pitcher and Kelsey Beck had two singles for Paulding (6-7, 4-3). Kennedy Rex was 3-for-3 with a double for Allen East (12-8, 3-5), Kylie Wyss and Maddison Schantz each had two hits and Marci Meeker doubled.
Lincolnview 5, Bluffton 4
BLUFFTON Lincolnview rallied to scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning for an NWC win. Lincolnview moves to 13-2 overall and 5-1 in the NWC while Bluffton is 4-11, 2-5. Bailey Neate went 4-for-4 with a double while Kaitlin Brant and Devann Springer each doubled. Kelsey Mohr tripled and went 2-for-3 while Ashley McClure (12-2) was the winning pitcher. Kylee Barnett was 2-for-5 with a double for Bluffton, Adrian Rumer was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and both Sami Fruchey and Katie Palte had two hits apiece.
Spencerville 9, Ada 6
SPENCERVILLE Alex Shumate pitched a complete game, striking out eight and walking two for the win. Alyssa Mulholland was 3-for-4, scoring twice for Spencerville while Mackenzie Ringwald, Tori Johnston and Haleigh Mull went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Ashley Sumner was 3-for-4 for Ada while Alexis Amburgey, Ashlie Windle and Alexis Gonzaga each had two hits.
Parkway 7, St. Henry 0
ST. HENRY Parkway closed out its MAC season by shutting out St. Henry, as pitchers Sierra Fent and Kylie Snyder combined for a three-hitter. Fent smacked her sixth home run and had two RBIs for Parkway (13-5, 6-1) while Terra Walls was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored while Zoey Pond had an RBI double. St. Henry is 7-11, 1-6.
Asyersville 6, Miller City 3
AYERSVILLE Jennifer Leis tripled and scored a run for Miller City in the loss to host Ayersville. Ayersville pitcher Taylor Church strick out 11 and allowed three hits and an earned run. Miller City is 3-8 while Ayersville is 9-7. Kylee Ricker had a two-run single for Miller City.
LCC 4, Ottawa-Glandorf 1
LIMA Alex Swick, Zach Schroeder and Dylan Niese each were singles winners for LCC in the non-league match. In doubles, Logan Korzan and Troy Hile won for LCC (10-5) while Brandon Hempfling and Trevor Kuhlman won for O-G (10-5).
Shawnee 5, Defiance 0
DEFIANCE Jason Barton, Avinash Rahasekaran and Ruthvik Avvari won singles matches for Shawnee in the WBL contest. In doubles, Josh Thomas and Scott Jettinghoff won at No. 1 while Carter Jones and Prudvi Battula won at No. 2.
