ELIDA — Rose M. Coolidge, 75, passed away peacefully at 12:55 p.m. April 23, 2013, and into the arms of Jesus, while surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Clinton Township, Shelby County, the daughter of the late Colman Bowden and the late Martha Snyder Bowden. Rose married Thomas Coolidge on May 27, 1983, in Waynesfield. He survives in Elida.
She had worked at the IGA in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed doing crafts, traveling, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Jugs Sewing Group.
Surviving are five children, Todd Spencer, of Lima, Tonya (Eric) Nagel, of St. Marys, Eric Coolidge, of Elida, Teresa Coolidge, of Lima, and Lori Reynolds, of Jackson Center; and 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. William Hughes will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida.
