Apollo levy costs less
than a McDonald’s latte
I was surprised the Apollo School levy failed last year. Primarily because the cost was so minimal to homeowners. This is because the cost is spread over a portion of six counties.
The amount on $100,000 valuation is just $2.56 per month. That is less than the cost of one latte at McDonald’s.
Apollo serves an important function over this wide area in training and educating students to become productive middle class citizens. These young people generally stay in the area to perform the services we all depend on. Even if the school is not in close proximity to your community, rest assured you are benefiting. Many of us have spent more than the annual cost of this levy eating a meal out. This levy is for maintaining the current property and infrastructure, not wages.
I respectfully ask for your support for the Apollo School.
