Bible not limited

in teachings

I read a letter March 24 in The Lima News that truly needed a response. It had me wondering why people think that gays and lesbians do not believe in God. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Without God they could not have come this far. Gay and lesbian couples are joining together, creating lives, homes and families of their own, yes with some of the children created by heterosexual parents. Some have children through the same process as other couples who are not able to conceive on their own. God’s love is in most of these homes, and the children are happy. We need to accept that we were all created by God, and should be treated with the same respect given to any other human being.

Quoting sections of the Bible to suit your agenda is wrong, but in the spirit of verses — Romans 14: 12-13: So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or occasion to fall in his brothers way. ( I love that verse.) Remember that there are no degrees of sin, “Sin is sin” and we only have one judge. I could quote verses all day but I think you understand, hope so.
