Kids show me
Elida on right track
On March 11-17, I had an awesome experience working with a cast of Elida High School teenagers who put a fabulous play on called Fiddler on the Roof. I had volunteered my time to do the cast make-up for the play, plus I had a 6th grade daughter who was in the play so I figured I would help out where needed. It was a memorable experience and if I could do it all over again, I would. These teens ages ranged from 12 to 18 years old and were in grades six through 12.
There were all different types of kids: athletes, choir members and some who just wanted to be a part of something special. But all said and done, they gelled together like good friends. And as a parent of two children who attend Elida, I am so proud for my kids to be apart of such a wonderful school. I especially know this because my 6th grade daughter, that lives and breathes soccer, told me,”Mom I do not want this play to ever end. I have had so much fun and I can’t wait to try out next year.”
Being around this great group of kids I saw they were different. They took pride in what they stood for and did what ever it took to get the job done.
This is one of the many reasons why we need to vote FOR for our Elida levy on May 7th.
