Robert W. Foust Sr., 87, died at 4:45 a.m. March 27, 2013, at VanCrest Healthcare Center, Delphos.
He was born June 6, 1925, in Wapakoneta to Dewey and Margaret Kerschner Foust, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 21, 1944, he married Virgina Morris, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Foust had been an inspector at Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant for 30 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3035, Delphos. He enjoyed working puzzles, fishing, hunting, crafts and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Barbara) Foust Jr., of Findlay; a daughter, Maxine (Greg) Brooks, of Spencerville; a brother, Howard L. (Dorothy) Foust, of Elida; and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Foust.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos, with military rites by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
