LIMA — Agnes L. Wolff, of Lima will celebrate her 90th birthday March 27, 2013. A family dinner is planned.
She was born March 27, 1923, in Allen County to Don and Helen Hixenbaugh. On Aug. 15, 1947, she married John J. Wolff, and he died Sept. 26, 1986.
Wolff has one son, Tim J. (Nancy Crow) Wolff; and two daughters, Ruth L. Melson and Ann L. (Rick) Shaffer. One son-in-law, Kenny Melson, is deceased. She has five grandchildren and seven great-grandsons.
She and her husband were founders of Faith Manor Rest Home in 1960. It was then moved to Cridersville Nursing Home in 1974, and sold in 1996.
Wolff is a 1941 graduate of Shawnee High School. She attended Northwest Business School.
She is an active member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
Wolff enjoys her monthly class reunion, Shawnee basketball, OSU basketball and the OSU marching band. She is known for her raisin and date cookies.
