VAN WERT - A woman who managed the books of a local car wash was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days in jail for grand theft.
Betsy Bollenbacher, 39, of Rockford, was also was sentenced to 60 days home arrest, five years probation, 100 hours of community service, undergo a psychological assessment and receive treatment. She also must pay $10,583 in restitution.
Should Bollenbacher get in trouble, she will have to serve one year in prison.
She was sentenced on the fourth-degree felony for her role in embezzling from the Westwood Car Wash. The crime occurred between May 2010 and November.
The total loss was a lot more than the $10,583, nearly six times that, but insurance covered all but the $10,583.
