Leipsic smashes N. Baltimore, moves into sectional finals

OTTAWA — Top-seeded Leipsic started the boys basketball tournament by dismantling North Baltimore 107-39 in a Division IV sectional semifinal at Ottawa-Glandorf. Leipsic will play Cory-Rawson at 8 p.m. Friday at O-G in the sectional finals.



Devin Mangas hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points for the Vikings, Austin Brown had 20 points, Zach Kuhlman had 15 points, Caleb Barrera had 14 points and Mitch Kuhlman had 10 points. Leipsic had 13 players score and forced 37 turnovers to Baltimore’s 19.



Cory-Rawson 51 Arcadia 29



OTTAWA — Maycen Ward and Grant Risner each scored 12 points as the Hornets advanced to the sectional finals. Matt Alspach had 11 points for Cory-Rawson, which forced 19 turnovers and gave up 7.



St. Henry 85 Waynesfield-Goshen 53



COLDWATER — Kyle Stahl netted 22 points and St. Henry beat Waynesfield-Goshen in a Division IV sectional final at Coldwater. St. Henry moves on to play New Knoxville at 8 p.m. Saturday in a sectional final at Coldwater.



Mitchel Stammen had 16 points for St. Henry (20-3) and Alex Post finished with 10 points. Dylan Little scored 22 points for W-G (7-15) while Lake Turner had 9 points.



New Knoxville 73 Minster 62



Coldwater — New Knoxville had five players reach double figures in the victory over Minster in the Division IV sectional semifinal. Jake Allen scored 22 for New Knoxville (12-11) while Isaac Kuntz had 13 points, Ryan Lageman and Adam Howe each had 11 points and Andrew Arnett scored 10 points.



Devon Poeppelman had 19 points for Minster (12-11), Ethan Wolf had 18 points and Jacob Stechschulte scored 11 points.



Antwerp 37 Miller City 33



PAULDING — Antwerp moved past Miller City in the Division IV sectional semifinal at Paulding. Antwerp will play Holgate at 8 p.m. Friday at Paulding in the finals. No other stats were available.



Holgate 20 Continental 18



PAULDING — Holgate outscored Continental 10-3 in the fourth quarter to win the Division IV sectional final at Paulding. Continental led 2-0 after one quarter and 10-2 at half. The Pirates finish the season 7-16.



USV 78 Hardin Northern 27



KENTON — Woody Prater struck for 25 points and the Rams won the Division IV sectional final at Kenton. USV will take on Vanlue at 8 p.m. Friday at Kenton in the sectional final. Vanlue beat Riverdale 58-54 on Wednesday.



Fourteen USV players scored. Jacob Gossard had 11 points for Hardin Northern.



Jackson Center 47 Mississinawa Valley 21



PIQUA — Jackson Center sprinted into the district semifinals with the win over Mississinawa Valley. Jackson Center will take on Houston at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Division IV district semifinals at Piqua. Houston beat Sidney Lehman 49-47 on Wednesday. No other stats were available.
