Letter: Support for Kayla was truly inspirational

Support for Kayla

was truly inspirational

The All in for Kayla Committee would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who helped make the benefit for Kayla Skidmore and her family such a success. It is because of your generosity and kindness that we as a community were able to present the Skidmore’s with such a tremendous gift. We tried our best to thank each individual for their contribution, but if we failed to thank you individually, please accept this letter as an expression of our gratitude for the contribution that you made.

We also want to reiterate our thankfulness for the help and hard work of the Upper Scioto Valley senior class of 2013, the teachers, staff and community of USV, the chili cook-off participants, those who donated cakes to raffle and prizes for the silent auction, and the many, many volunteers who helped things run smoothly. Additionally, we would like to thank the staff, students and community of Waynesfield Goshen schools and the athletes from both teams for acknowledging that some things are more important than sports and rivalries and supporting the All in for Kayla benefit whole-heartedly.

The support that was received from area businesses, local farmers, county churches and individual families has been a blessing not just to the Skidmore family, but to us all as a community. Lastly, we would like to thank Kayla for being our inspiration and a living example of unwavering faith. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
