ZANESFIELD - Thanks to the cool, nighttime temperatures, the snow machines are up and running at Mad River Mountain ski resort.
The machines sprayed the 144-acre resort for several nights over the course of this week. The goal for resort staff is to put out as much snow as possible the next few nights and leave it be until more snowmaking weather comes.
The state’s largest resort has not yet officially announced an opening day, but plans to as soon as the cool weather becomes consistent.
“We’ll open at any hour on any day once we feel the conditions are right!” its web site reported.
