LIMA — The Emergency Medical Services program at Rhodes State College is accepting students for the advanced EMT course.
The course will meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays or from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 8 to June 18. A mandatory hospital and classroom orientation will be held Jan. 7.
The course provides the state required cognitive and didactic components of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician curriculum as outlined and approved by the Emergency Medical Services Board. Students will take the National Registry exam to become certified as an advanced emergency medical technician in Ohio. Changes in state and federal law and regulations may necessitate changes to the course. Students enrolling must be certified as a basic EMT in the state of Ohio.
