Letter: Not a believer in the odds of ever winning

October 28, 2011

The odds at winning a contest are minimal. I often observe people buying lottery tickets of the scratch-off variety who walk away with nothing. I don't play the lottery, but I have entered contests for decades with zero results. If I ever win anything, it would probably be something like a half-night's stay at a hotel for one person.
