LaCinda S. “Cindy” King, 56, died at 9:35 p.m. Feb. 19, 2010, at University Hospital, Cincinnati.
She was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Lima to Donald and W. Ruth Johnson Logan. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lima. On Dec. 22, 1973, she married Jack A. King, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. King was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 1275 and American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary. She was an active room mother and Girl Scout leader at Irving Elementary School. She enjoyed art and painting. No one was a stranger. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest.
Survivors also include a son, Jon (LaVette) King, of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska; two daughters, Amy (Rob) Johnson and Jennifer (Matthew) McGullion, both of Lima; 12 grandchildren, Katelyn Humes, Keaton Humes, Kylie Humes, Dalton Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Kayla McGullion, Chase McGullion, Conner McGullion, Cason McGullion, Kamdyn McGullion, A’mya Spivey and Jayven King; two brothers, Kevin (Sue) Logan, of St. Marys, and Tim (Lisa) Logan, of Lima; and a sister, Lisa Flores, of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Flores.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
