CELINA — Charges have been filed against an Elyria man stemming from the theft of credit cards and the attempt to use the stolen cards at the Walmart in Celina last month.Celina Police Department Chief David Slusser said Mark S. Wallencheck, 41, of Elyria, was charged with two counts of theft, a fifth-degree felony, stemming from the April 30 incident.The investigation has led officers across Ohio as they discovered similar reports in Huber Heights, Marion, Marysville, Salem, and Delaware County, Slusser said. There are also links to investigations in Tennessee and Virginia. All the cases involve the theft of credit cards or use of stolen credit cards, he said.Anyone with information on Wallencheck's whereabouts should contact the Celina Police Department at 419-305-5301 or a local law enforcement agency.
