BOWLING GREEN (AP) — A Kentucky man with possible ties to human trafficking was being held in the Wood County jail for allegedly kidnapping two Kentucky girls.Darien Lakeith McKinley, 30, of Louisville, Ky., was charged with one count of kidnapping and was being held in the jail in lieu of an $85,000 bail, according to Bowling Green Municipal Court records.Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said that at 4 p.m. Saturday, a 17-year-old girl was dropped off at a rest stop in Bowling Green on Interstate 75.Officials were contacted by the caretaker of the rest stop who reported that a young girl said she was kidnapped several days ago and had just been released. The man who took her, she told officials, still had another girl. The second girl, a 16-year-old, was found after troopers stopped the suspect's commercial truck at 5:36 p.m. on I-75 in Shelby County, which is between Lima and Dayton.Highway Patrol Lt. Anne Ralston said she did not know how long the girls had been missing or where in Kentucky they were from. She added that the girls were either in temporary protective custody or back with their families. The investigation, which was being handled by the highway patrol and both the Dayton and Toledo FBI offices, was ongoing. It was unclear if the driver was an independent contractor or who he was working for at the time of his arrest.
