OTTAWA The man who used a handgun to rob Cut Rate Tobacco Friday evening had not yet been apprehended Saturday.The mane was described as being in his mid-20s to 30s. He was around 5 feet 2 inches or 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs between 110 and 130 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and blue jean shorts.The man entered the business, 820 N. Locust St., at 5:20 p.m. and left with an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and tobacco items worth $134, police officials said. He left in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevy Blazer.Video of the man was obtained from the surveillance cameras. Lt. David Winslow said officials were hopeful that someone might recognize him. Anyone with information should call the Ottawa Police Department at 419-523-3208. The Ottawa Police Department was assisted by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
